About

Joseph Vetro (aka Mr. V.) leads an active performing career as a children's/family entertainer, singer/songwriter, and educator. His energy and passion for music resonates with positive messages to all audiences.  Vetro leads an active performing career playing shows for libraries, organizations, festivals, private schools and school boards in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Notable performances include: public libraries in Toronto, Hamilton, Orangeville, YMCA camps, Appleby College Summer Camp (Oakville), Zodiac Camp (Toronto), St. Joseph’s Hospital Fall Halloween Festival (Toronto), Dearcroft Montessori School (Oakville), PLASP after school program, Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, Peel District School Board, Halton District School Board, and District School Board of Niagara.

His professional career as an educator has informed his song writing and performances. Vetro frequently collaborates with students in composing songs such as: “Someone to talk to”, “Spooky songs,” and “Silly Halloween song.” 

“The Lady Bug Song,” a popular song among children, was developed though countless hours of composing and performing with children at elementary school boards. Vetro also enjoys creating videos and designing performances based on cover songs such as “Octopus’s Garden,” “Puff the Magic Dragon,” “It’s a Munch Kind of Day, “Don’t Worry About a Thing,” and “All You Need is Love.”

As a solo artist, Vetro released a full- length album,

Pvt. Moore and Other Songs under the name Jay Vetro.

 

A compilation of original songs about Remembrance Day and other personal stories written over a decade. Dear Mother was written about his wife’s grandfather enlisting in WW1.
